Introduction 

The Advancement Team of Brampton Christian School is comprised of highly engaged school board members and administrators, school staff, and parents. Together, they are a part of a dynamic new initiative called the Friend Raising Association (FRA), which serves as the official corporate sponsorship and philanthropic partnership fund raising arm of the school.

Board

The FRA Board comprised of the following 9 people set and uphold the terms of reference for the FRA, conduct the annual business meeting, and meet quarterly with the Executive to facilitate progress with FRA goals and objectives:

Chair: Alex Abdulnour (Principal)

Vice-Chair: Cathy Doggart (VP-Elementary)

Members: John Lockhart (School Management Team Member / School Board Member), John Miller (VP-Junior High), Andy Cabral (VP-High School Academy), Elementary Teacher Designate (TBA), Junior High Teacher Designate (TBA), Senior High Academy Teacher Designate (TBA)

 

Executive

Candidates for the Executive submit the "Intent to Serve" to the FRA Board for annual appointment consideration. These BCS parents are members in good standing who work to support and fulfill the vision of the FRA. They meet monthly and as needed to oversee and facilitate Project Lead success, and either the Chair or Vice-Chair or both are present.

Project Leads

Candidates for the Project Lead roles submit the "Intent to Serve" to the FRA Board for appointment consideration. These BCS parents are members in good standing who work to support and fulfill the vision of the FRA. They would work directly under the leadership of the Executive and in consultation with the FRA Board to create a team of like-minded people to form their Friend Raising Project Team. Teams would meet and work as needed to meet goals and objectives throughout the school year.

Bursaries Lead: TBA pending submission of "Intent to Serve" and FRA Board Appointment. This team is full of compassion and desires to populate a fund that enables financially challenged families to access an excellent BCS education for their child(ren).

Capital Projects Lead: TBA pending submission of "Intent to Serve" and FRA Board Appointment. This team understands that the key to an excellent educational experience at BCS requires access to the best possible resources for their child(ren). From sports equipment to furnishings to brand-name computer labs, this highly engaged team utilizes corporate sponsorship connections to not only meet student needs, but exceed them by providing enriching resources.

Construction Projects Lead: TBA pending submission of "Intent to Serve" and FRA Board Appointment. This is a demanding and rigorous portfolio that possesses unparalleled intrinsic rewards at the level of legacy. This highly connected and engaged team passionately pursues corporate sponsorship and philanthropic gifts to fulfill the school's advancement vision. Whether it is acquiring adjacent property for the development of the BCS-[Donor Name] Recreation Centre (Aquatic facility, ice rinks, and outdoor sports fields) or Equestrian Facility, and/or establishing partnerships with an accredited Christian post-secondary institution to either construct the BCS Laboratory (Learning) Preschool, or found Caledon Christian College, this team forges BCS's preferred future.

Operational Projects Lead: TBA pending submission of "Intent to Serve" and FRA Board Appointment. This team is comprised of parents with a keen eye for detail. From the inside out, this team understands the functional and aesthetic value of presentation. From classroom consumables to bulletin board borders to display cases, and from lines on the sports fields to landscaping and parking lot lighting, this team keeps BCS looking sharp. 

Scholarships Lead: TBA pending submission of "Intent to Serve" and FRA Board Appointment. This team believes in incentives. This team understands that excellence needs to be acknowledged. Achievement at BCS will be honoured in the following areas: Christian Character and Service, Athletics, Mathematics, Visual Arts, Music, Sciences, Social/Civics, and Environmental. From achievement certificates and stickers in Junior Kindergarten to gift cards from Grades One to Eleven, to cheques for our Ontario Scholars presented at graduation night, high achievement will be celebrated by this team of over-achievers!
